Relax and dive into the Turkish language in Alaçatı on the sunny Aegean coast!
The perfect stay for everyone learning Turkish is what we aim for with
this somewhat special language trip. Contact and communication with the local people are at the center of the experience and
allow for all participants to practice their aquired language skills.
We have put together a program with various activities and short trips to the surroundings as well as time for individually
discovering Alaçatı and its surroundings.
Below, potential participants will find informations about the services included in the offer:
- Accomodation with lush breakfast and five-o-clock tea at the Boutique Hotel 1850 (lunch and dinner not included)
- Group transfer from and to Izmir airport (small bus)
- Transport for various activities and short trips (there may be minor, additional fees for certain activities)
- Assistance by our Turkish teacher, including short Turkish lessons
- Visit of the famous weekly market, including some shopping for hotel supplies by the participants
- Visit of a traditional local bakery in a neighboring town
- Visit of a local windsurfing school
- Meeting with elementary school students in a local school
- Preparation of a local specialty in the hotel kitchen
- Visit of a local winery with information about wine-making
- And, and, and ... we are certain noone will be bored :)
Accomodation - Hotel 1850
Our accomodation in Alaçatı is a small and quiet Boutique-Hotel located just 2 minutes walking distance from the main
shopping street in the center. Both the Hotel 1850 and
its affiliated Fava restaurant in the center have received acclaim from
various sides. Nonetheless the atmosphere has remained familiar and friendly.
Besides the accomodation the hotel also offers a widely acclaimed, lush breakfast and even bakes its own local specialty cookies
which can also be ordered and bought by anyone not staying at the hotel.
Further location and rooms
In the restaurant building in the center of town we have additional room available, be it for group work / lessons or just for a
informal gettogether. There is also a small Bar for those seeking a night cap or just some relaxation.
Alaçatı
In the past few years Alaçatı has become a widely known and very popular holiday destination not only in Turkey. Especially
during the summer months many a Turkish celebrity may be seen here and the small town is transforbed into a lively, bristling,
sometimes almost overflowing gem.
The typical stone houses make up much of the charm of the place and the proximity to the holiday destination Çeşme
invites for a swim in the sea. But Alaçatı's beaches are worth a visit as well, situated as they are a little outside the town
in their own bay. Also, all lovers of windsurfing will love the place with its many windsurfing schools. The wind conditions
here are optimal for the sport.
