COURSE OPTIONS AT LAL
A group course at work.
Group size for our courses at Lal is at a maximum of 6 students per class (with a minimum of 3
students). Excluded are private lessons and Turkish for children (one on one classes) and company courses
(by mutual agreement). Lesson duration is 45 minutes for all course types. Please also note our

course types following this paragraph:
Private lessons
This is the most individual type of course with the highest flexibility. You decide together with
your teacher how your lesson should be held and and what pace of learning best suits your needs and possibilities.
We recommend at least 2 lessons per week for efficient learning.
Group courses / Small groups
This is the standard course type available in two flavors with a total of 4 or 2 lessons per week. Because
of our small group sizes of at most 6 students it is still possible to have very efficient lessons while following the
individual needs of the students.With this course type each of the skill levels A1 and A2
can be completed in one year or 2 years, respectively (160 lessons per level). For the completion of skill level B1 two
years or 4 years, respecively, will be needed (320 lessons); and for each of the levels B2 and C1 again one year or two
years, respectively (160 lessons per level).
Intensive courses / Small groups
This type of course is basically identical to the standard type with the exception that the amount of lessons
per week is higher, so that the time necessary to complete any skill level is reduced accordingly. These courses are especially
suited for those who need to (or want to) reach a certain skill level at Turkish as fast as possible for private or
business reasons.
This course variant is comprised of 8 lessons per week (Skill level A1 will be completed in 6 months).
Turkish for travellers
The traveller courses are limited to a total of 16 lessons (4 weeks at 4 lessons per week). These courses
concentrate on the most common formules and expressions needed by tourists visiting Turkey. Also, culture and typical
local habits and situations are integrated in these courses.
Turkish for children
This course type is adressed specifically at children age 7 to 12, taking into account their specific
needs and preferences. This course type is only offered as private lessons, because only this form of teaching can
guarantee the full attention of the child and activate the full learning potential.
Turkish for Turks
Focusing on the special needs of Turkish emigrants of the 2nd and 3rd generation who would like to polish up their
Turkish or need to aquire additional Turkish skills because they want to work in Turkey, this course type is aimed at people which
already have a certain amount of knowledge of the Turkish language.
German for turkish speakers
German language courses, especially tailored for native Turkish speakers. This course is for
Beginners of all ages who would like to learn German and lay emphasis on mentoring by a teacher with Turkish language
skills who incorporates the special differences between these languages in his lessons.
Preparation courses for exams
These are special preparation and practice courses for the Turkish certification and diploma exams
by Tömer (Ankara University - Turkish and foreign language research and application center). Duration
and number of lessons are individually determined with and for each student.
Corporate courses
